How the calculation works

Percentage = 2.9% + applicable card surcharges. Estimated fee = gross × percentage + $0.30. Gross for target net = (target + $0.30) ÷ (1 − percentage), rounded upward to cents.

Worked example

A standard domestic online card payment of $100 has an estimated $3.20 fee and $96.80 net. A $103.30 charge covers a $100 target net under this model.
