What if the exit price changes?
The line shows your net profit at different exit prices. The dot is your chosen exit; the gold marker is break-even. This is a mathematical scenario, not a historical chart or price forecast.

Which question does this calculator answer?
Use it to value a holding at a current, planned or past sale price: “I spent $1,000 — what would I get back if I sold at this price?” A crypto selection lets you request a recent USD quote; any crypto or stock can also be entered manually. The result uses your actual inputs, not an assumed future return.
How the calculation works
For quantity mode, purchase cost = units × buy price. Buy fee = purchase cost × buy fee rate. Total outlay = purchase cost + buy fee. In total-spend mode, units = total spend ÷ [buy price × (1 + buy fee rate)]. For multiple purchases we add the units, purchase costs and buying fees across all rows.
Net sale proceeds = units × exit price × (1 − sell fee rate). Net profit = net sale proceeds − total outlay. ROI = net profit ÷ total outlay × 100. Break-even exit price = total outlay ÷ [units × (1 − sell fee rate)]. An exit price of zero models loss of the full outlay.
Worked example: a $1,000 total purchase
Spend $1,000 including a 0.1% buying fee at $100 per unit. You receive about 9.99001 units. Sell at $120 with a 0.1% selling fee: net proceeds are $1,197.60, net profit is $197.60, and ROI is 19.76%. Break-even is about $100.20 per unit. Use “Try a $1,000 example” to explore these inputs.
Prices and limitations
Optional quotes and coin search are provided by CoinGecko. Quotes are snapshots, not streaming or guaranteed execution prices. We show the provider's update time and reject quotes more than ten minutes old when loading them. If data is missing, rate limited or unavailable, enter a price manually. Verify the exact coin: different tokens can share a symbol. A quote does not verify that a token can be sold at that price.
Very small prices may use scientific notation: $1e-12 means $0.000000000001. All prices and cash values are USD. No currency conversion is performed. If you buy the same asset more than once, this tool combines the holding; it does not track earlier sales, realised trading history or a tax cost-basis method. It excludes fixed transaction fees, gas, spread, slippage, funding and dividends. Neither the chart nor the scenario table estimates how likely a price is to occur.
