SaaS and micro SaaS ideas: evidence before building

Explore 20 software and implementation-service opportunities with source discussions, competitors and specific validation tests. These are research hypotheses, not proven businesses or promises of income.

Start with the buyer's existing workflow

A complaint is a lead for research. It becomes a credible opportunity only after identifying who owns the problem, what they already use and why a replacement would be worth paying for. Each linked investigation includes counterevidence and a reason to stop.

Which ideas are suitable for a small first project?

Supplier-file preparation, attachment routing and supplier-price comparison can be scoped as one customer task. A narrow paid service may expose requirements before you build subscription software. A five-day prototype estimate does not include customer acquisition, production reliability or indefinite support.

Subscription ideas need recurring value. Monitoring can fit this model, but established tools and false-positive support costs may remove the advantage. Do not convert a one-time setup fee into an imaginary monthly recurring revenue figure.

Choose the next test, not the most exciting forecast

Pick one buyer group and request a real, anonymized input example. Compare the result with their current tool. Record error rate, operator time and willingness to buy a bounded pilot. Stop when a native feature already does the job or the customer cannot justify switching.
