Bank CSV validator and converter

Check a bank statement locally, map its columns, reconcile balances and prepare a signed-amount CSV. No account connection, upload or storage is used by this tool.

For a bank deposit/checking account: money in is positive, money out negative. Credit-card statement signs can differ; determine the correct direction with your accountant. This is a format preflight, not a bookkeeping entry, complete migration, bank reconciliation certification or proof a provider accepted the file.

1. Load a synthetic sample or your own UTF-8 CSV

Limit: 2 MB, 5,000 data rows, 10,000 characters per field. One account and currency per file. No PDF/OCR, spreadsheet or FX conversion. Blank rows and invalid rows are reported, never silently discarded.

3. Optional balance check

Use the same amount notation as the CSV. Blank means unknown; an entered 0 is a real balance. Both balances are needed to check opening + net = closing. A mismatch blocks CSV export.

Validation and export

Load CSV, read its columns and validate.

What is changed in the output?

Check before posting

Export a small sample, inspect dates and cash direction, compare totals with the statement, then follow the software’s own mapping and duplicate-review workflow. Do not reimport an overlapping date range without checking existing transactions. Validation JSON contains your normalized records; handle it as financial data.

Intuit US bank CSV format · Xero CSV bank statements

Our own synthetic parse/export/reimport tests validate these layouts and numerical transformations. No logged-in QuickBooks or Xero acceptance test has been performed. Provider limits, changed interfaces and account permissions can still reject a file.
