Pay Raise Calculator
Measure a raise or reduction and calculate the pay needed for a target increase.
Your inputs
Use consistent units and periods. Defaults are examples.
Your result
Check the assumptions below before relying on a result.
Formula and method
Change = proposed − current. Percentage change = change ÷ current × 100. Pay at target increase = current × (1 + target ÷ 100).
Worked example
Moving from 50,000 to 55,000 is a 5,000 increase, or 10%. A separate 12% target would produce 56,000.
