Stock Rover Screener: Coverage, Access & Export Checklist
Inspect Stock Rover screening workflow, documented access boundaries and a concrete data-verification task.
Documented research workflow
Fundamental stock and ETF screening; historical and equation-based workflows are reserved for qualifying higher plans.
Access and package boundaries
Current plans advertise a 14-day trial. Premium is 29 USD/month billed 348 USD/year, or 34 USD on monthly billing; advanced screening varies by tier.
What to verify
Viewing past financial history is not the same as point-in-time historical screening. Do not apply an old plan price to the current subscription or infer that a trial is permanent free access.
A practical acceptance task
Check basic versus historical screening in the selected tier, reproduce a small filter set and record whether the historical observations were available at the decision date.
Keep the research reproducible
Record the universe, active filters, financial period, quote timing and source version. Re-run a small example before replacing an existing research process. A result count can change as data updates or the available universe changes.
Separate selection from performance
A screen narrows a source dataset. It does not establish a causal explanation, a diversified allocation or a historical return. Inspect filings, fund documents, liquidity and the suitability of the underlying research question before using the output.
