Free Trading Journals: What Is Actually Included?
Separate permanent free plans, temporary trials and paid CSV imports before choosing where to keep your trade history.
Manual entry versus imported history
StonkJournal documents free manual logging and a paid Pro CSV workflow. TradesViz documents a free Basic stock journal with a monthly execution limit. These are different offers: a free dashboard does not mean free automation. StonkJournal free and Pro features · TradesViz pricing and plan entitlements
Count the right unit
A completed trade can contain several executions. Compare a provider’s execution allowance to fills in your busiest month, rather than to the number of positions you remember opening. Check whether partial exits, options legs and account counts change the limit.
Trials and exit access
TradeZella and TraderSync are paid selected workflows. Tradervue’s current selected pricing page establishes paid Silver and Gold features; we do not infer a present free tier from older review articles. Record the trial conversion date and ask what export remains possible after cancellation.
Our free journal has a different boundary
Our tool needs no account or subscription. It accepts completed round trips in a documented CSV, calculates entered-price P&L and stores nothing automatically. It does not connect to brokers, match partial fills, download prices or create option lifecycle accounting. Export JSON for a lossless backup.
