CAGR Calculator
Find the constant annual growth rate connecting a positive start value to an ending value.
Your inputs
Use consistent units and periods. Defaults are examples.
Your result
Check the assumptions below before relying on a result.
Formula and method
CAGR = ((ending value ÷ starting value)^(1 ÷ years) − 1) × 100. Total change = (ending ÷ starting − 1) × 100.
Worked example
10,000 growing to 15,000 over five years has 50% total growth and approximately 8.45% compound annual growth. This does not imply each year actually grew by 8.45%.
