TradingView: paper access and simulation limits
A chart-based paper account for practicing orders and reviewing positions alongside the platform interface.
Selected workflow
Live-market simulation
Access and account requirements
Paper Trading available to users globally; chart and exchange data entitlements are separate.
Market-data conditions
Chart symbols and exchange feeds depend on the selected data entitlement.
Simulation boundaries
The paper account is different from Bar Replay and Strategy Tester. Symbol availability does not establish every exchange feed is real time or that simulated queue priority matches live trading.
A practical verification exercise
Confirm the Paper Trading connection, symbol feed status, quantity units and commission settings. Export or record the same simple example before comparing it with another simulator.
Record the exact account mode and date. Reconcile requested quantity, fill time, fee and residual position using a copied statement. A product described as multi-asset may still have different permissions, data or order types in a particular account.
Primary evidence
TradingView paper account functionality
Checked 17 October 2026; published documentation, not an authenticated account or live execution test. Paper API: not established here; this is not proof of absence.
