Inspect the workbook before relying on it.

These are transparent educational worksheets. They do not import account data or determine a financial recommendation.

Inputs and formulas

Blue cells accept inputs. Black cells calculate. Blank initial inputs usually leave dependent financial outputs blank; an entered zero is an observation. One currency must be used throughout a workbook. Monetary display uses two decimals; calculations retain their underlying precision.

Budget definitions

Monthly and annual remainders are net income less entered allocations. Planned-minus-actual spending is positive when actual spending is below plan. Savings transfers are allocations, so counting the transfer and its funded bill as expenses can duplicate costs. The 50/30/20 framework allocates entered income at fixed illustrative percentages; it does not assess affordability.

Variable-income definitions

The historical average divides total entered income by the count of numeric observations. The minimum includes actual zero months and excludes blanks. Low-month shortfall is max(0, required costs minus lowest observed income). Full-cost runway is reserve divided by required costs; shortfall runway is reserve divided by low-month shortfall. A missing or zero denominator leaves the relevant result unavailable.

Trading definitions

Gross P/L = (exit − entry) × side × quantity × price multiplier. Net P/L subtracts total fees. R = net P/L / entered initial monetary risk. Valid closed trades include zero net results. Win rate counts positive net closed trades divided by all valid closed trades, including breakeven. Profit factor divides positive net results by the absolute total of negative net results. No losses means profit factor is unavailable, not proof of infinite performance.

Open rows and invalid rows are excluded from closed metrics. The model supports linear positions only, with values expressed in one account currency. It does not value options, inverse contracts, funding, mark-to-market equity, tax or currency conversions automatically.

What was checked

The authoring runtime recalculated both tabs, checked representative outputs and changed representative inputs before restoring them. Exported XLSX files were checked for worksheet/formula structure and cached errors. Every worksheet was rendered for visual review. This is software validation, not financial certification or verification in every spreadsheet application.

Application compatibility

Use Excel with recalculation enabled, or import XLSX into Google Sheets through File → Import → Upload. Check the stated sample outcomes after import. A hosted Google Sheets copy is not provided and native Sheets compatibility has not been independently confirmed. Keep the blank original, work on a copy and back up your own records.
