Cash Flow Software Retirement: Preserve Portable Forecasts

Use an official retirement notice as a reminder to test exports, keep assumptions and avoid assuming a hosted service remains accessible indefinitely.

CashFlowTool is not an active recommendation

Crunchafi’s official FAQ states that CashFlowTool Lite and Pro access ended on 21 November 2025 and that later data access would not be retained. The legacy product is excluded from our active comparison. The notice does not establish that a present user can still retrieve old data. CashFlowTool official retirement FAQ

Keep more than a PDF

A report image explains a result but may omit the events, scenario factors and dates needed to reconstruct it. Keep an editable source export, the forecast settings and a readable report. Test a restoration before treating an export as a backup.

What our JSON contains

The local planner saves original events and the settings for all three scenarios. Restoring it reruns validation and calculations; stored summary numbers are not trusted or accepted. No hosted account or automatic browser persistence exists for this tool.

Plan a reversible migration

Use a copied, small forecast to map categories and dates into a replacement product. Compare opening and closing balances, daily low points and excluded events. Do not delete source records merely because a new dashboard displays a plausible total.
